Overview
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will support end-to-end revenue cycle operations for U.S. medical practices. You will handle insurance claims, accounts receivable (AR) follow-up, denial management, and patient billing inquiries to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of U.S. payer processes, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

What you’ll do
Perform accounts receivable follow-up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied insurance claims.
Review, analyze, and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
Submit insurance claims, corrected claims, and appeals as needed.
Accurately post insurance payments and adjustments using EOBs and ERAs.
Communicate with insurance payers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
Handle patient billing inquiries and explain balances, insurance processing, and payment options.
Document all billing activities and follow-ups clearly in the billing system.
Escalate unresolved issues according to established workflows.
Support team goals related to accuracy, timeliness, and reimbursement performance.
What you’ll bring
At least 3 years of experience supporting end-to-end revenue cycle functions, including medical billing, coding, accounts receivable (AR), and denial management for U.S. medical practices.
Strong knowledge of U.S. insurance guidelines, payer rules, and reimbursement processes.
Experience with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding and medical terminology.
Proficiency with medical billing or practice management systems.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet productivity expectations in a remote setup.
